Overview

KPV is the C-terminal tripeptide fragment of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH), a naturally occurring peptide hormone. Because it is small and retains part of the parent hormone’s activity in experimental systems, KPV has been studied in cell and rodent models of inflammation, particularly intestinal inflammation research.
